Inspired by the current equality issues found throughout the US in both politics and society, this textile embraces femininity.  The traditional damask patterning is composed of motifs containing overtly female anatomy as a segue into conversations about gender expression and equality.  While phallic imagery is consistently present in historical art, female anatomy is rarely presented without sexual connotations.  The use of this fabric in everyday living spaces will help deconstruct the taboos surrounding female functions and sexuality.
